On this day in my

08.54 On this day in 1910 my Father, Arthur Henry, was born in Gosport. His father, Austin, was a Royal Marine based at Eastney Barracks (currently being developed into apartments).

Viewing of the imminent eclipse is not likely to be helped in the West Country by the present overhang of clouds. But perhaps they'll clear in time to not see the sun.

I'm off to Glasgow this afternoon, via Witchampton churchyard, but today's morning meeting of The Big Two will address Big Issues.

11.22 I've returned inside from looking at a grey, cloudy sky. If I didn't know there were an eclipse, I'd believe it were only a grey day.

The Heartless Raging Venal Leader will be at Borders, New Charing Cross Road, London (opposite Foyles Bookstore) on Tuesday 5th. October at 19.00 to (nominally) present the remastered & revibrated "In The Court" to whoever is interested. My sheet says 30-45 minutes + Q&A. Probably, the Q&A will begin well within the first 30 minutes.
